Becoming A Millionaire Is Not A Dream – Overall Strategy Of Affiliate Marketing

There are many ways to make money online. Some people use social media to drive traffic, some make money through advertising from YouTube videos, some write articles and use Adsense to make money. Regardless of the method, the logic behind it is the same: 1. Get tasks from various affiliate programs; 2. Place the advertisement on their own traffic platform (social media, website, etc.); 3. Drive traffic and improve conversion rate.

Strategy

The general process is as follows:

  1. Choose an affiliate program;
  2. Determine the niche and keywords;
  3. Apply for a domain name and build a website;
  4. Write articles based on keywords and add advertisement links to each article;
  5. Optimize On-page SEO;
  6. Build external links and drive traffic.
Overall Strategy Of Affiliate Marketing

Someone might say, “This method isn’t anything new.” Indeed, it is the most standard way to do CPS (Cost Per Sale). The advantage is that you own the website, the traffic is high-quality, and you can receive a commission for every sale. The disadvantage is that it takes a long time to see results and requires a significant amount of time to accumulate.

So, the key of this method is to build a large number of websites. Each of the six steps listed above has critical details, and these details are the key to success.

For example: Select 100 niches, each associated with a category of products from affiliate programs such as Amazon, ClickBank, CJ, and Shopify (Firstly we must choose 100 product subcategories, each of which may have several specific products). Then, build 100 websites, each corresponding to a niche. At the same time, choose 20 keywords for each niche, and each website we write 20 articles for these 20 keywords. Within the articles, we embed purchase links for the corresponding products.

Why build a large number of websites? Because the process of preparing content, building the site, indexing, driving traffic requires a long time. Once the entire process becomes proficient, the rest is just copying the entire process. Ultimately, the key of affiliate marketing can be summed up in one word: replication. Not replicating content, but replicating ideas and processes. In real life, you cannot simultaneously become multiple people and earn money, but in the world of the internet, it is easy to do so.

Don’t underestimate a method that can bring you 1 dollar a day. As long as it can be automated, you can easily replicate it 100 or 200 times.

The cost and revenue estimation can help you see the essence of making money online more clearly.

Cost & Revenue Estimation

Cost

Let’s take building 100 websites as an example:

1. First is the cost of domains. The cost of a .com domain is around $10 per year, so for 100 domains, it would be 10 * 100 = $1000.

2. Next is the cost of servers. Since the websites being built are full of articles and images, the traffic won’t be very high. Assuming 20 websites can be hosted on a shared hosting plan, 5 shared hosting plans would be needed. Typically, the cost of a shared hosting plan for one year won’t exceed $120. So the cost for 5 shared hosting plans for a year would be 120 * 5 = $600.

3. Next are the costs of various tools, such as tools for selecting keywords, tools for checking keyword rankings, tools for analyzing competitor traffic, as well as the costs of website themes and plugins, which are currently estimated at $600 per year.

Note 1: We will introduce these tools in separate articles later.

4. Last, the costs of articles, based on different methods:

The first method is to write them yourself, which of course has no cost, but it requires a lot of time and effort, and good English skills. This is difficult for most people, so we will not consider this option.

The second method is to pay someone to write them, usually around $10 for an article of 800-1000 words. If you need 20 articles for each website, so for 100 websites, the cost would be: 10 * 20 * 100 = $20,000. This cost is too high, and it is also difficult to find stable, high-quality authors, so we consider this option as an alternative.

The third method is currently a very popular method, which is AI, that is, artificial intelligence. Articles are automatically generated based on keywords, domains, templates, etc. Although the quality may be slightly lower than the second method, the cost is much lower, and it will not be considered as plagiarized content by search engines such as Google and Bing. Therefore, we recommend this method, and the cost is calculated based on an AI tool of about $30 per month: 30 * 12 = $360.

Note 2: We will introduce AI tools separately in later articles.

In summary, if Option 2 is considered, the total cost will be 22,200 dollars. If Option 3 is considered, the total cost will be 2,560(1000 + 600 + 600 + 360) dollars.

Of course, we recommend Option 3.

Revenue

Due to the characteristic of affiliate marketing, theoretically, the difficulty of selling a $1 product and a $1000 product should be the same, except for extremely expensive products (thousands or tens of thousands of dollars). Therefore, we should choose products with appropriate commission rates, as selling products that are too cheap is not a good choice for affiliate marketing.

Assuming we can earn a commission of $50 for each product, and assuming each website can reach 50 unique views (UV) per day at the beginning, which is 1500 UV per month. Assuming every 10 UVs can generate 1 click, we will have 150 clicks per month. Assuming 100 clicks can generate 1 transaction, we will sell 1 product per month for each website, earning a commission of $50.

So we can earn $5000 per month, which is $60,000 per year.

Next, assuming the average daily UV for each website increases to 100, which is 3000 UV per month, generating 300 clicks, and 3 transactions with the same conversion rate. Therefore, we can sell 300 products per month for every 100 websites, which is 3600 products per year. Assuming a commission of $50 for each transaction, the earnings would be $180,000 per year.

So, this is a number game, becoming a millionaire is not a dream.
